A US airman set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington.

Authorities in the area and the US military report that on Sunday, an active-duty Airman established himself on fire in front of the Israeli consulate in Washington, DC.

A person set themselves on fire outside of an embassy in the block, prompting the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department to issue a statement to news channel: “At approximately 1:00 p.m., the DC Police Department answered to the 3500 block of Worldwide Drive, NW, to assist the United State Secret Service.”

A news channel was able to obtain and watch a footage of the event in which the man, who goes by the name Aaron Bushnell, declares, “I will cease to be collaborating in genocide” and goes on to assert that his impending actions pale in comparison to the suffering endured by the Palestinian people.

The recording device is then placed on the ground, and he repeatedly yells, “Free Palestine,” while dousing himself in an unidentified liquid and lighting it. Eventually, as policemen rush to put out the fire with fire extinguishers, he collapses. “I can confirm that a serving responsibility Airman participated in today’s incident,” United State Air Force spokesperson Rose Riley said to a news channel.

The man is still in critical condition after being taken to a nearby hospital by DC Fire and EMS, according to MPD. No embassy staff members were hurt, and they are safe, according to an Israeli Embassy spokesman. In the words of Vito Maggiolo, the public information officer for DC Fire, the United State Secret Service had already put out the fire by the time firefighters arrived on the scene. In order to look into the incident, MPD stated that it is collaborating with the FBI as well as Explosives, Firearms, Tobacco, and Bureau of Alcohol.

An individual established themselves on fire in December in front of the Atlanta Israeli Consulate, according to police, in what they described as “probably an extreme form of political protest.” At a press conference, law enforcement and fire department officials revealed to reporters that petrol served as an accelerator and that a Palestinian flag used as a part of the demonstrate had been found at the scene.

Following the terror attacks in Israel on October 7 that claimed 1,200 lives, Israeli authorities have declared war on Hamas in Gaza. Nearly 30,000 people have died in Gaza as a result of the response, according to the health ministry run by Hamas.

US Air Force member who set himself on ablaze outside the Israeli diplomatic mission in Washington is in critical condition and is calling for "Free Palestine."
