Coby White leads Bulls to comeback victory over Kings.

The Chicago Bulls defeated the Sacramento Kings 113-109 after a stunning comeback led by Coby White, who finished with game-tying and game-winning baskets in the final 1:32 of play on Monday night. White’s scoring performance was a career best.

The Kings looked to take control after blowing a 14-point lead early on. They scored 33 points in a quick eight-minute span in the third quarter to take a 91-70 lead. In the middle of the rebellion, Domantas Sabonis went on a three-minute scoring binge, scoring four dunks with three assists from De’Aaron Fox.

In an attempt to secure victory in the first phase of the four-game Western move back and the Bulls gradually reduced the deficit over the next 13 minutes, eventually tying the score at 109 all on a layup by White with 1:32 remaining.

Following the Kings turnover, White missed a 3-pointer, but Nikola Vucevic recovered an offensive rebound and drove to White for a short jumper, giving the visiting squad the lead victory with 47.6 seconds staying.

With 38 seconds remaining, Fox had an opportunity to put the Kings back ahead, but he was unable to make a 3-pointer. With 3.5 seconds remaining, Fox mishandled the ball and gave Sacramento possession after the rebound travelled out of bounds. This allowed DeMar DeRozan to make the game-winning pair of free throws.

White’s final point total of 37 exceeded his previous career high by one, set during a January 2021 trip to Sacramento. He made 14 of his 19 total shots and 5 of his 9 three-pointers.

Along with a team-high 13 rebounds, DeRozan scored 33 points to support White, while Ayo Dosunmu added 20 points and Vucevic added 10 points. With seven assists to go along with four steals, Alex Caruso and White shared the team-high accolade.

For the Kings, who have dropped their last four games, Sabonis grabbed a game-high 21 recovers to finish with 18 points and his nightly double-double.

After missing two games due to knee pain, Fox made a comeback and led Sacramento with twenty rebounds as well as a game-high ten assists. Harrison Barnes scored ten, Keegan Murray as well as Malik Monk each scored eleven, and Kevin Huerter scored twelve. Even though they outrebound the visitors 51–32, the Kings still lost.
